Products & Purchasing 

1. What types of products do you sell? 

We specialise in refurbished washing machines, dryers, washer-dryers, fridges and freezers, electric cookers, dishwashers, and other essential electrical household appliances. We don't offer gas appliances.

Where we aren't able to repair an electrical appliance, we will salvage what we can, offering a broad range of parts available for white goods, from fridge trays and door shelves, to washing machine components. 

Our goal to reduce waste going to landfill extends to other household goods that you can find our on Ebay store.

2. Are the refurbished products reliable? 

Yes! Each appliance undergoes rigorous testing, servicing, and quality checks before being listed for sale to ensure it meets the highest performance and safety standards. 

3. Are products PAT tested? 

All our products are PAT tested on site by our expertly trained team.

4. Do your products come with a warranty? 

Yes, all of our refurbished appliances come with a 6 month warranty. Each one has been refurbished and thoroughly tested for functionality, and tested for electrical safety to the highest standards exceeding PAS 141:2011, using the latest technology with traceable certificates of calibration. 

5. Are repurposed items safe? 

All our white goods available for sale are PAT tested to meet industry, environmental and energy standards. REWORK is audited by the Environment Agency and the Reuse Network.

6. Can I return an item if I’m not satisfied? 

If you are not happy with your item you can return it within 30 days. Please check the return policy here. This may differ for products sold on our eBay store here so please check. 

7. How do I know if a product is right for me? 

Each product listing includes detailed specifications and condition descriptions. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us on via our online form and we’ll be able to get back to you within 48hours during the working week. Our team are not working over the weekends.

8. What is your grading system? 

Our products' aesthetic standard is graded based on how good it is as a repurposed item. Grade A1 means it's excellent standard; Grade A means it's a very good standard; Grade S means it is standard. 

Repurposed items and may present with small visual blemishes, scratches and dents. This is the nature of a repurposed item. All products are for sale as photographed. All our products are cleaned to a very high standard and often look like new.
 

Delivery & Installation 

1. Do you deliver? 

Yes we do deliver. Owing to our locality, we currently deliver across London within the M25. Anything outside of this location needs to be collected. If your collecting your refurbished item, it needs to be transported in a vehicle where it can sit securely upright or your Warranty will be VOID.

2. How quickly can I receive my item? 

Your item will be dispatched within 10 working days of receiving payment. 

3. Can you install the appliance for me? 

Currently, we do not offer installation services. However, we provide guidance on setup and use in our product descriptions. 

4. Do you remove old appliances? 

 At the moment, we do not offer removal services, but we encourage responsible disposal through local recycling centres available to you. We recommend searching for your nearest place here.

1. What is REWORK 

REWORK is a reuse and employment programme delivered by the charity Groundwork London based at Western Riverside Waste Authority's Recycling facility at Smugglers Way in Wandsworth. The project provides hands-on engineering training while selling professionally refurbished and recycled white goods from their online website to people across London.

2. How does REWORK help the planet?

REWORK offers a positive, purposeful alternative to buying new by creating a circular economy, repairing and repurposing products. By choosing REWORK you are contributing to: 

  • The refurbishment of over 58,000 appliances for resale  
  • Saving more than 46,000 items of furniture & bikes from landfill
  • Avoiding an estimated 43000t of CO2 emissions being pumped into the atmosphere 

3. How does REWORK help people?  

Reuse and providing a solution to reducing waste is the core of REWORK, and circular economy extends beyond the products we repair and refurbish, to the people we employ. Powered by Groundwork London, REWORK is a charitable enterprise providing jobs and opportunities for Londoners, especially those Not in Employment Education or Training (NEETs). 

4. Where do you sell your products? 

We sell refurbished white goods on our website and our broad collections of white goods parts on our eBay store. We are looking to create a permanent shop near our current site in Wandsworth Recycle Centre to allow customers to view more products for purchase in person and collect on the day. 

5. Do you have a physical store? 

We don’t have a physical store at the moment. We are looking to create a permanent space near our current site in Wandsworth Recycle Centre to allow customers to view more products for purchase in person and collect on the day. 


Training & Employment Opportunities 

1. How does REWORK’s training programme work? 

We provide practical, paid, on-the-job engineering training where individuals learn to repair and refurbish white goods ready for resale. Our programme helps people who are not in employment, education or training (NEETS) gain valuable skills to bring them closer to long-term employment. 

2. Who can apply for the training program? 

Our training is aimed at individuals looking to return to the job market after a period of leave or after facing challenges to start their career journey. The programme is designed especially for people particularly those who may have faced barriers to employment. Find out more on our Employment Programme page <link > 

3. Is the training paid? 

Yes, our trainees receive London living wage while training and working with REWORK.

We are not currently hosting any new training opportunities. Keep an eye on our socials for the latest news and updates.

Supporting REWORK

1. Can I donate appliances to REWORK? 

Our site is based on Wandsworths recycling centre. You can bring your appliance here and we will collect it as part of their recycling initiative. 

2. How can I support REWORK? 

You can support us by purchasing from our website or eBay store, sharing our work with others, or reaching out to discuss partnership opportunities. You can also donate to the project. For donations please email londoncomms@groundwork.org.uk.
